We take your privacy and security extremely seriously and recognise that this is a major concern for the majority of our customers. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy online. We will only collect, store and use your personal information for specific purposes. We use your personal information to support and enhance our relationship with you.
When you buy an Activity or Product from us, we ask you to agree to our Terms and Conditions which include this Privacy and Data Protection Policy, as governed by the Data Protection Act 1998. You may give us information about yourself when purchasing an “experience” on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you use Our Site, and when you report a problem with Our Site. The information you give us may include your name, your child’s name, address, email address and phone number, and medical details.

Your use of the Site, and any disclosure of personal information via the Site or the App signifies your consent to us collecting and using personal information about you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you register to purchase services, adventures or products through The SHAC we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, medical conditions and contact details. The SHAC then keeps a record of this information. This means we can deal with any queries or problems you may have, and also so we can ensure that any information that we send to you is relevant.
We keep a record of any e-mail or mail correspondence you send us, so we can track any problems or concerns you’ve had with our services.
If you contact The SHAC by telephone we may record data from the conversation and use that call for future training or business purposes. This includes, without limitation, use for the purpose of dispute resolution and/or complaints management. We also record information you submit to us on Our Site at any time, details of your visits to Our Site and the resources you use. We may also ask you questions at registration, and from time to time by email, that will give us information that will be used to improve your experience of using www.theshac.co.uk You do not have to answer these questions, but if you do we can communicate with you in a more relevant way.

Photographs and Films
We regularly take photographs and record films at our sites for use in publicity. We will always verbally seek permission from customers on site when we take such images and films. In agreeing to our terms and conditions you and members of your party agree that such content will be considered non-confidential and we have the irrevocable, worldwide, transferrable, royalty-free, right to reproduce, distribute, share, publish, and display such content and the right to create derivative works from your content, edit or modify such content, transfer the medium of such content, and use such content. For your reassurance, it is our policy to seek written permission from responsible adults before using identifiable images of under 16s.

Card payments
We use secure payment gateways when you pay via our website. When you pay through the website we do not see your card details, or store these at all. When we take payments over the phone, any card details taken are used once only and then destroyed. All procedures are PCI compliant.
